Mayo Dark Sky Festival 2023

The 2023 Mayo Dark Sky Festival will take place from Friday, 3rd November, to Sunday, 5th November, in Newport, Mulranny and Ballycroy.
The festival is not only focused on Astronomy but also covers culture, well-being, and biodiversity related to the dark skies.
Today, it is offering talks, walks, exhibitions, performances and family-friendly events alike.
Stargazers cherish November because of its dark skies at 6 pm, perfect for observing beautiful celestial bodies like Orion, Cassiopeia, double star Albireo, the Pleiades star cluster, and the Milky Way.

Opening Night: music with Patrick Dexter, walking and stargazing on Friday night, weather permitting.

Andy Briggs: talk on Gravitational Waves and Supermassive Monsters on Saturday.
