New faith renewal events at Knock Shrine
Knock Shrine has launched a new programme of faith renewal events taking place this autumn. Series of one-day retreats and workshops will offer people the opportunity to pray, reflect and enjoy a spiritual enrichment, taking a rest from their busy life.
Here is the list of the events:
-
‘Quiet Days for Busy People’ will take place on Tuesday 3rd October, Saturday 7th November and Saturday 5th December. A retreat team and prayer guides will lead the events.
-
‘The Joy of the Gospel’ will take place on Saturday 10th October and Saturday 28th November. The two workshops will be led by Brian Grogan SJ, a highly respected Jesuit theologian, author and lecturer.
-
A day conference about the new Papal Encyclical on the environment, ‘Laudato Si’, will take place on Saturday 14th November. The event will be led by Fr Sean McDonagh.
- A training and enrichment day for Pastoral Council Members in the western region will be led by Donal Harrington on Saturday 21st November.
This programme is part of a wider project called ‘Knock’s Witness to Hope’, which will help Knock Shrine to become the centre of faith renewal in Ireland and an internationally renowned site for pilgrimage.
