Our Lady's Secondary School in Belmullet in Co. Mayo
Since 1943 Our Lady's Secondary school has served the people of Erris with distinction. The school takes enormous pride in its work and in the friendly atmosphere that exists in the school where the uniqueness of each person is respected.
The school has maintained the highest standards in education. While academic excellence is essential, the religious formation, pastoral care and happiness of students is top priority. There is a well established pastoral care system within the school and there is a special conceren for students who are new to the school community. They are also in the fortunate position of having a Chaplain and counsellors available in the school.
The Trustees of the school are the Sisters of Mercy and the school is managed by a Board of Management consisting of representatives of the Trustees, elected parents and elected members of staff.
An active Parents' Association ensures strong links between home and school.

Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme
This enhanced Leaving Certificate is designed to address the changing needs of the workplace. It aims to prepare students for the world of work through work experience and enterprise studies.
Leaving Certificate Applied
The Leaving Certificate Applied is a relatively new Leaving Certificate programme of the Department of Education and Science. The programme includes Information Technology, Leisure and recreations, Mathematical Applications, Work Placement, and Social Education. Leaving Certificate Applied prepares students for working life and is an alternative route to third-level education. This programme is on offer at Our Lady's Sec School.
