Fresh and coarse water fishing can be enjoyed in any of the nearby lakes - Loughs Urlaur, Conn and Mask; or in the local fishing rivers - the Trimogue and the River Moy.

A choice of golf courses surround Kilkelly and are within easy reach at Claremorris (18 holes), Ballyhaunis and Swinford (both 9 hole parkland).

Other nearby visitor attractions are the Marian Shrine at Knock, the National Museum of Country Life at Turlough and Foxford Woollen Mills.
