St. Colmans, Mayo Abbey Expands its Organic Training Service

The Organic Garden Centre at Mayo Abbey is generating great interest.

The centre developed by Mayo Abbey Community Council is based close to the Bishop O'Healy Resource Centre on a one-acre plot of land.

It comprises of raised beds, poly-tunnels, a glass house, a potting shed and tool shed.

A wide range of organic horticultural courses are provided, including a full time FAS (FETAC Level 4) Organic Horticulture Course for approx 12 students. This Training Course provides employment to 2 full time trainers.
