Nestled in the shadow of the beautiful Partry mountains, it is an excellent area for those with an interest in fishing as it lies between the renowned brown trout lakes, Loughs Mask and Carra.

Partry is within easy reach of the surrounding towns of Ballinrobe, Castlebar and Westport, where the visitor can enjoy anything from golf to horse racing, or even a spot of window-shopping. Westport is the starting point of the recently developed and award-winning Great Western Greenway - Ireland's longest (traffic free) cycling and walking trail.

The historic and hallowed Ballintubber Abbey is an only a few minutes drive and Mayo's pilgrimage mountain, 'Croagh Patrick', is also within easy reach.
